Ripple
Title: Ripple
Material: Rust and greenish glazed stoneware
Dimensions: 44 x 23 cm
Symbolism: Anecdote: After seeing a discarded exhaust muffler in a garage, I started thinking about making a figure with a perfectly round head, shaped on a potter's wheel. I engraved phrases on it. Here they are: The satin of your voice glides over my hips – Do not scorn my stormy nights – My shameless desires prowl on drizzly evenings – Do not congeal my intoxication with your clay-like words. This woman expresses words that are both sensual and austere. It represents the duality of life: good and evil, love and hate, qualities and flaws, etc.
